Craniosacral Therapy

What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral is a non-invasive, powerful, and effective therapy that works with gentle touch allowing for the body’s natural ability to readjust and heal. It works with the spine, cranium, and central nervous system to identify and help heal any number of physical and emotional ailments. Aside from the physical and emotional, Craniosacral can help your riding, training, and overall relationship with your horse/animal by relieving imbalances in the body and mind.

Physical and emotional releases during a session typically can look like yawning, chewing, stomach gurgling, and urinating/bowel movements but can also present in other ways. Because your animal is releasing a lot during a session, it can experience an array of emotions during and after. Their body will continue to process and realign for the next couple of days and deeper releases can initiate changes for potentially weeks after. This can show up as being far more peaceful and even-keeled, having a lot of energy, or having a bit of irritation and restlessness while they are unwinding and releasing. It’s not recommended to go riding or working hard right after a session and ideally give them 3 days of rest before integrating them back into their working routine.

When melding with the animal’s body during a session it gives you the ability to work on any level and to find and address problem areas quickly. Not only is craniosacral effective on a physical level it has a very profound ability to impact and help heal emotional stress or traumas.
